Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications, bridging backend data systems, AI, and frontend experiences.

You will design dashboards, build resilient microservices, and integrate with diverse data objects and third-party systems, championing DevOps and embedding AI features to automate workflows.

You will guide technical strategy, mentor teams, and focus on optimizing Payer operations and performance across the stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in professional software engineering with a focus on full-stack, architecture, and scalable apps.
• Proficiency with modern JS/TS frameworks and data visualization libraries.
• Deep server-side expertise; design of scalable microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with relational/NoSQL DBs, ORM, and data feeds integration.
• Hands-on AI model/API integration (OpenAI, Anthropic) and AI orchestration.
• Public cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD, containerization, and IaC (Terraform).
• Strong problem-solving and communication; able to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of scalable web applications from frontend to backend.
• Architect and implement dashboards and UI for complex data insights.
• Design secure APIs and integration layers with diverse data sources and third-party platforms.
• Champion AI features to automate workflows and provide intelligent data synthesis.
• Drive CD/CI, containerized deployments, and IaC to ensure high availability and rapid releases.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and performance profiling; lead root-cause analyses.
• Mentor engineers, set coding standards, and shape the technical roadmap.
