Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of core applications, bridging backend data systems, emerging AI capabilities, and intuitive frontend experiences.

As a hands-on leader, you will design dashboards, build resilient microservices, and orchestrate integrations with diverse data objects and third-party systems, while driving DevOps culture and cloud practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with focus on full-stack, architecture, and scalable apps.
• Proficient in modern JS/TS frameworks and complex state management.
• Deep experience designing microservices and APIs.
• Strong relational/NoSQL data integration skills (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Hands-on AI model integration (OpenAI, Anthropic) and AI orchestration (LangChain).
• Cloud/SRE focus with CI/CD, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and IaC (Terraform).
• Excellent communication of architecture to technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of scalable web apps.

• Build secure, scalable APIs and data integration layers.
