Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, emerging AI capabilities, and intuitive frontend experiences, while delivering dashboards and microservices at scale.

You will champion DevOps, embed AI-driven features, and mentor teams across frontend, backend, and DevOps. The role emphasizes Payer Operations, metadata enrichment, and automated lifecycle contracts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack development and scalable systems.
• Strong proficiency with modern JS/TS frameworks and data visualization libraries.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Full Stack Development: lead end-to-end design, architecture, and development of scalable web applications.
• Dashboarding & Data Visualization: architect and implement rich, interactive dashboards surface insights in a performant manner.
• Backend & Data Integrations: design secure APIs and integration layers, connecting to diverse data objects and third-party systems.
• AI Enablement & Implementation: champion AI/ML integration and orchestration into core products to automate workflows.
• DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure: maintain CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes deployments, and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Operational Excellence: establish monitoring, logging, and performance profiling across the stack.
• Technical Leadership & Mentoring: mentor frontend, backend, and DevOps engineers; shape technical roadmap.
• Self Starter: handle ambiguity and ask stakeholders questions to align requirements.
