Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission in Austin seeks a Staff Services Officer IV in the Behavioral Health Services Division to support strategy and operations. The role handles HR, purchasing, training, records management, and property management while developing policies and procedures.

Under limited supervision, you will lead SharePoint administration, assist HR processes, maintain BHS databases with staffing and telework data, coordinate office seating, and support divisional priorities with

Qualifications

• At least one year experience in office management, business administration, information technology, or human resource administration.
• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in human resources, public or business administration, or a related field is generally preferred.
• Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-to-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, maintains and supports SharePoint. May provide technical assistance and training to other staff related to the use of SharePoint. (25%)
• Provides technical assistance related to various HR processes; advise management and answers policy and procedure questions. (20%)
• Establishes and maintains BHS database containing up-to-date information about all BHS positions and staff including telework schedules, demographics, vacancy statistics, and office information. (25%)
• Coordinates division requests for office seating assignments and keeps related maps and databases up to date. (25%)
• Performs other duties as assigned to support divisional priorities, strategic initiatives, and organizational objectives. (5%)
