Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Staff Services Officer V to support State Hospitals. The role provides high-level guidance on staff services, position management, HR processes, and records management across Central Office and facilities.

Based in Texas with telework eligibility, the position requires collaboration with multiple divisions, budget teams, and senior leadership to optimize workforce operations and policy implementation.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college with major in human resources, business management, or a related field.
• At least two years’ experience in office management or human resource administration.
• Experience and education may be substituted for each other on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Review requests for approval and supporting documentation for compliance and coordinate approvals.
• Manage Central Administration mailbox, respond to inquiries, and maintain records.
• Provide high-level consultation and guidance to senior management on staff services and HR processes.
• Maintain the Administrative Operations SharePoint site and support agency programs and policies.
• Participate in special projects and assist with training and documentation.
