Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a Part-time Staff Scheduler/Coordinator to support staff scheduling and related administrative tasks. You will collaborate with clinical managers, transcribe schedules, and maintain confidentiality while delivering service excellence to staff, patients, and physicians.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate's degree preferred) and about two years of office data entry or health-care scheduling experience; work Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm,

Job Summary

Responsible for the overall support services for staff scheduling process. Must be able to communicate well with staff. Performs the scheduling function as directed.

Essential Functions

• Works collaboratively with other personnel in matters related to scheduling coverage aspects of patient care.
• Assists with patient scheduling function as needed.
• Completes all functions of the staff scheduling process (i.e. block schedule, vacation calendar etc.).
• Transcribes scheduling information, staff schedules in a timely manner.
• When necessary, enters visit information for those doing hard copy documentation.
• Reconciles daily reports and other information using various software applications.
• Facilitates verbal and written communication with staff.
• Coordinates with clinical managers as needed to ensure work flow.
• Maintains confidentiality of staff and corporate information according to policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates by attitude and action, recognition of the importance of service excellence with patients, families, internal customers, physicians and others. Puts into practice on a daily basis the philosophy that we can never do too much to meet our customer's needs.
• Demonstrates by attitude and action recognition of the importance of interaction with co-workers. Communicates effectively and respectfully with co-workers and staff of other affiliates. Works as a team member helping others as needed to contribute to the overall success of Corewell Health.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred Associate's Degree in related field
• 2 years of relevant experience office, word processing, data entry, computer applications, office coordination, supervision, secretarial, Administrative Assistant, health care, customer service, medical office setting Required
