Job summary

Corewell Health's summer internship in Facilities provides hands-on support during May–August 2027, based at Butterworth Hospital with occasional travel to Blodgett Hospital and other Grand Rapids facilities.

You will gain exposure across maintenance operations, skilled trades, and building systems, with assignments tailored to your learning goals and department needs, including accreditation survey preparation and space refreshes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, currently enrolled in high school, or currently enrolled in a university pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in the area of accountability. May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for completing support tasks as directed.
• Maintains clear and appropriate documentation of actions taken.
• May analyzes department processes and other Corewell Health systems encountered and makes recommendations improvements, as appropriate. Participates in quality monitoring activities/process improvement activities.
• Communicates, collaborates, and acts as a team player with others in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
