Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff Safety Systems Engineer to support the B-2 program from Melbourne, FL. You will develop and deliver System Safety products using MIL-STD-882 guidance and coordinate with IPTs to adjudicate hazards and safety requirements.

The role requires presenting SRR/ PDR/ CDR packages, identifying CSIs, mentoring engineers, and interfacing with DoD customers. A DoD Secret or higher clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM from an accredited university.
• 14+ years of engineering experience OR 12+ years with Master’s OR 4+ years with PhD.
• Experience with MIL-STD-882 or ARP4754 safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Identify, classify, and document hazards in a closed-loop tracking system.
• Coordinate with IPTs to support hazard and safety requirement adjudication.
• Present safety packages (SRR, PDR, CDR) and flow down safety requirements.
