Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and extensive engineering experience (see posting).
• Master’s degree or PhD can reduce required experience for eligibility.
• Active DoD clearance eligibility or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, classify, adjudicate, and manage hazards in a closed-loop tracking system.
• Coordinate across IPTs to support hazard and safety requirement adjudication.
• Communicate safety risk to appropriate levels.
• Maintain cognizance of system design and functions.
• Prepare SRR, PDR, CDR packages documenting hazards and safety requirements.
• Flow down derived safety requirements to IPTs.
• Deliver CDRL artifacts.
• Acquire design cognizance of the aircraft.
• Document Subsystem Hazards and CSIs.
• Mentor safety engineers of various levels.
