Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Sr. System Safety Engineer to support the B-2 program in Palmdale, CA, Melbourne, FL, Rancho Bernardo, CA or Oklahoma City, OK. The successful candidate will develop and deliver System Safety products using MIL-STD-882 guidance.

Responsibilities include hazard identification, safety requirement adjudication, and presenting safety packages to document risks. A DoD Secret clearance and SAP clearance are expected to be pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires MIL-STD-882 or ARP4754 safety program experience.
• Experience interfacing with military customers or safety counterparts.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Identify, classify, adjudicate, and manage hazards in a closed-loop tracking system.
• Coordinate across IPTs to support hazard and safety requirement adjudication.
• Present SRR, PDR, and CDR packages documenting hazards and safety requirements.
• Flow down derived safety requirements to IPTs and deliver CDRL.
