Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, part of Central Maine Healthcare, seeks a Registered Nurse to provide safe, highquality care in the Birthplace. You will apply the nursing process, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the nursing team to uphold standards during antepartum and postpartum care.

Night shift with a competitive compensation package including a sign‑on bonus up to $20,000 for experienced RNs.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current.
• NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current.
• Basic fetal monitoring on hire within 60 days and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct patient/family teaching and guide nursing staff in the Birthplace.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and response to treatment.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Use chain of command to ensure well-being of newborns and mothers during antepartum and postpartum care.

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $36.00 to $46.19. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
