Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Coronary Care Unit in Lewiston, ME. Night shifts (12-hour) are available with a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for experienced RNs and up to $10,000 for new graduates.

The role requires active RN licensure, BLS and ACLS within specified timelines, and preferred BSN. Ventilator management and prior acute care experience are beneficial for applicants.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certificate required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope and communicate changes to physician.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
• Ensure monitoring and care for patients in the Coronary Care Unit.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Coronary Care Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.

2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.

5. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.

6. Ventilator Management experience preferred.

7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $36.00 to $49.16. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
