Job summary

Moog Military Aircraft Group in Torrance, CA is seeking a Staff Program Manager to lead a strategic development program. You will report to the Program Director and coordinate across functions, customers, and Moog teams to meet schedule, cost, and performance goals.

The role requires a BS, 10+ years in engineering or PM, aerospace/defense experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage budgets and plans.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 10+ years of professional work in engineering or program management.
• 6+ years of PM experience on aerospace/defense development programs.
• Ability to lead across functions with strong communication skills.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and communicating budgets, plans and schedules.
• Knowledge of contractual requirements and scope adherence; EVM experience a plus.
• US export-controlled information access and security clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a strategic effort developing a product for a key customer.
• Develop and execute a program through design, development, qualification and initial production.
• Coordinate cross-functionally and optimize program success with stakeholders.
• Ensure contract requirements are met and manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Monitor cost and schedule performance and develop recovery plans when needed.
