Job summary

BetterUp is seeking an experienced Forward Deployment/PM leader to own technical success on complex enterprise accounts. You’ll work with CIO, CHRO, procurement, and security, defining scope, blocking issues, and chartering a path to platform adoption.

You’ll guide a small squad of engineers inside customer environments, building prototypes and ensuring measurable outcomes. You will bring 7+ years in product management, enterprise deployments, and strong executive communication, with fluency in

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management, solutions architecture, or a forward deployed role.
• Experience owning the technical relationship on enterprise accounts with multi-million contracts.
• Proven ability to brief executives (CIO, CHRO) and align stakeholders.
• Technical depth: read API docs, reason about data pipelines, and set LL M context/guards.
• Experience in B2B2C and enterprise SaaS; domain transformation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define what technical success means on the hardest accounts with a written charter.
• Decide deployment candidacy, identify blockers, and escalate when needed.
• Write commitments in both directions and clarify what will not be built.
• Manage relationships with CIO, CHRO, procurement, and security leaders.
• Clear gates on critical path; you are measured on gates and influence, not quota.
• Lead a squad of two to three forward deployed engineers in customer environments.
• Close engagements in writing; graduate to platform or terminate.
• Build prototypes using Claude, Cursor, Replit, and Figma Make.
• Own evidence and the argument it supports; track activation/utilization per account.
