Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Principal Product Manager, Forward Deployment to lead technically complex, high-stakes enterprise engagements in a B2B2C environment. You will determine deployment feasibility, define success criteria, align cross-functional stakeholders, and drive hands-on execution for critical customer outcomes.

You will balance technical depth with trusted partnership, manage senior exec relationships, and build prototypes to validate concepts before broader engineering involvement.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in product management, solutions architecture, or a forward deployed role with enterprise accounts worth seven or eight figures
• Proven ability to turn around struggling accounts with damaged trust or prior failures
• Experience with enterprise deployments and navigating complex organizational challenges
• Technical fluency with APIs, data pipelines, and security requirements without needing to code
• Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to deliver difficult news while maintaining relationships
• Experience in B2B2C environments balancing the needs of enterprise buyers and end users
• Domain expertise in organizational transformation or talent intelligence is a plus

Responsibilities

• Define technical success criteria for complex enterprise accounts, including a written charter and trust-building plan
• Assess deployment feasibility, identify blockers, and engage the right stakeholders to resolve issues
• Document clear commitments and boundaries around what will and will not be built
• Manage senior executive relationships and represent the organization during critical account situations
• Clear technical gates for commercial decisions without carrying a quota
• Lead a small team of engineers and establish standards for engagement and documentation
• Close engagements with clear outcomes and present integration cases to monthly governance boards
• Build prototypes independently to validate concepts before broader engineering involvement
