Job summary

Render is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own the vision and roadmap for observability across logs, metrics, traces, and OpenTelemetry instrumentation. You will shape the technical direction for the observability surface and work with customers and product teams to understand how they debug, monitor, and optimize spend in AI workloads.

The role requires strong leadership, deep experience in observability, and a passion for building developer-friendly tooling at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Product Management with substantial experience in observability, monitoring, developer tools, or infrastructure products.
• Working fluency with the OpenTelemetry ecosystem – signals, semantic conventions, collectors, and tradeoffs of instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for observability at Render.
• Drive prioritization across observability investments balancing foundational telemetry against product needs.
• Partner with Engineering and Product teams to shape the telemetry pipeline and optimize signal fidelity, query performance, and cost at scale.
• Develop a strong point of view on what observability means for AI-native builders and how OpenTelemetry extends to agent workloads.
• Demonstrate a track record of turning ambiguous problems into clear strategy and shipped outcomes.
• Show strong communication and storytelling skills.
