Job summary

Anthropic seeks Staff+ backend/infrastructure engineers to lead Platform Acceleration, owning the technical strategy for tools that help engineers ship code faster. You will stay hands-on while guiding others, and work with teams across SF/Seattle offices or remotely.

You’ll build and operate the internal platform tools that support Claude API, SDKs, and related services, prioritizing reliability, safety, and developer experience.

Qualifications

Experience building and operating large-scale backend services.
Deep experience with developer tooling and CI/CD.
Experience leading large, cross-team technical projects.

Responsibilities

Own the technical strategy and roadmap for your area, and mentor others.
Design, build, and operate tools that help Platform teams ship code faster.
Define trust criteria for changes, and build tooling to enforce it.
Build agents to automate repetitive engineering work and diagnose failures.
Collaborate with partner teams to reduce friction and turn fixes into reusable products.
Measure developer experience and adoption to guide future work.
