Job summary

Anthropic Limited is seeking Staff+ engineers for Platform Acceleration who will design and operate internal tools used by Claude API engineers. The role emphasizes backend and infrastructure work, developer experience, and building scalable tooling.

Preference for candidates located in or near NY or SF, with a hybrid office-based schedule. You will own technical strategy for your area, lead cross-team efforts, and ensure changes are trustworthy through robust tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating backend services or infrastructure in production.
• Strong experience with one or more of Go, Python, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Deep experience with developer tooling, CI/CD, test infrastructure, or deployment systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the tools that help product teams ship faster.
• Own the technical strategy and roadmap for your area, solving hard problems personally or through others.
• Define trust criteria for changes, especially those written by Claude, and build tooling to enforce it.
• Build agents that automate repetitive engineering tasks like diagnosing failures or running migrations.
• Embed with partner teams to remove friction and turn fixes into reusable products.
• Move between creating new tools and enhancing shared systems as priorities evolve.
