Job summary

RPh on the Go seeks a licensed pharmacist for a long-term care mail order role in Taunton, MA. The position centers on accurate dispensing and professional patient consultation in a dynamic environment with variable shifts.

The ideal candidate holds a PharmD, is Massachusetts-licensed, and has prior long-term care or mail-order experience. The contract runs ~8 weeks with possible extensions and offers healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree required.
• Active Massachusetts pharmacy license.
• Pharmacy experience required; long-term care experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor patient medication adherence and identify over-usage patterns.
• Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
• Educate patients on medication use, side effects, and questions.
• Provide smoking cessation counseling and BP/cholesterol monitoring.
• Educate on use of medical devices (BP monitors, glucose meters).
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions per protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, interns, and others to optimize care.
