Job summary

The position requires at least 1 year of pharmacist experience (LTC preferred), and the ability to work in a clinical team, respond to inquiries, and manage medicines with QS1, Docutrack and PCC software.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year pharmacist experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Ability to sit, stand, perform fine motor tasks and maintain visual acuity.
• Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for multiple care settings including skilled nursing, personal care, and hospice
• Check blister-packed medications, sterile and non-sterile drugs for accuracy and quality
• Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, addressing clinical questions promptly
• Count and document controlled substances in the perpetual inventory per regulatory standards
• Review and maintain emergency medication boxes
• Use QS1, Docutrack, and PCC to manage pharmacy tasks efficiently
