Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE‑accredited College of Pharmacy
• Active Pharmacy License in good standing with your state Board of Pharmacy AND Idaho Board of Pharmacy
• Strong command of the English language (written and verbal); bilingual Spanish preferred for phone-based patient counseling
• Demonstrated ability to perform high‑volume prescription verification with strong attention to detail and accuracy; tech aptitude for pharmacy systems

Responsibilities

• Prescription Verification and Dispensing
• Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy
• Validate prescription data entry performed by pharmacy technicians; ensure transcription accuracy
• Pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a closed‑door fulfillment environment; confirm accuracy prior to release for shipment
• Daily prospective drug utilization review (DUR) to identify and resolve clinical flags
• Manage specialty medication handling requirements including cold‑chain verification
• Provide proactive outbound patient counseling calls for new prescriptions and handle inbound clinical inquiries
• Document all patient interactions in the patient profile within the pharmacy management system
• Support Spanish‑speaking patients with bilingual counseling where applicable
