Job summary

Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc. (CAPS) is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for part-time work on Mondays (8:30am–5pm) to prepare compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.

Qualifications

• Requires full working knowledge of relevant pharmacy practice and procedures.
• Must be able to perform aseptic compounding and follow CAPS SOPs.
• Ability to work with a diverse team and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all policies and procedures.
• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique and CAPS SOPs.
• Ensures compliance with State Board of Pharmacy and other agencies.
• Reviews orders and prescriptions for admixing and dispensing.
• Resolves order discrepancies and provides after-hour On Call coverage as needed.
• Participates in CAPS Continuous Quality Improvement and Quality Control functions.
• Assists in operation: troubleshooting equipment, ordering supplies, and inventory.
• Maintains positive customer relationships.
• May supervise IV Technicians and interns; reviews work for accuracy.
