Job summary

CAPS, part of the B. Braun Group in the U.S., seeks a Staff Pharmacist in Houston to prepare compounded sterile products under supervision, oversee IV technicians, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role includes reviewing orders, resolving discrepancies, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

The position follows a 7-on, 7-off schedule (Wed–Tue, 8:30 am–7 pm) with the possibility of overtime and on‑call coverage. A PharmD or BS + ACPE IV certification is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or PharmD required.
• 1+ years related experience required.
• ACPE IV Certification required.
• Schedule: 7-on-7-off (Wed to Tue), 8:30 am to 7 pm.
• Salary range is $120,225.53 - $153,816.

Responsibilities

• Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique and CAPS SOPs.
• Supervises IV Technicians, interns and other support personnel.
• Reviews orders and prescriptions for admixing and dispensing.
• Ensures compliance with State Board of Pharmacy and other agencies.
• Provides after hour On Call coverage as needed.
• Performs Quality Control and participates in CAPs CQI Program.
• Maintains inventory and assists in successful operation of the pharmacy.
