Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist to join its hospital pharmacy team in Georgia. The role includes compounding, dispensing, and monitoring medication therapy for patients from infants to geriatrics, with supervision of pharmacy technicians and adherence to competency standards.

Evening shifts are required with weekend rotation; Georgia licensure is required upon hire, and ACPE-accredited education is required.

Formación

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy.
• Licensed Pharmacist in Georgia Upon Hire (PHARMD)
• No experience required; hospital pharmacy experience preferred

Responsabilidades

• Distributes, documents and compounds drugs, solutions and equipment for patients and staff.
• Reviews, compounds, dispenses and monitors medication therapy for all ages including dosing variations and nutritional needs.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and ensures accuracy of orders filled by staff.
• Participates in competency and self-development in professional practice and provides patient-focused care throughout the hospital.

Required Hours: 2:30pm-11pm, 5 shifts per week, 8 hrs each. One weekend every 4 th weekend (includes Sat and Sun) Two holidays per year on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities:

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
