Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital seeks a licensed pharmacist to join its hospital pharmacy team in Georgia. You will perform drug distribution, compounding, dispensing, and medication monitoring to support patients across age groups.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy
• Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy required
• PHARMD licensed pharmacist in Georgia upon hire
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Distributes, documents, and compounds drugs, solutions, and equipment to meet patient and staff needs.
• Reviews, compounds, dispenses and monitors medication therapy across all age groups (infants to geriatrics).
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and ensures competency and ongoing development of staff.
• Performs patient-focused clinical activities to provide optimal medication therapy.

Responsibilities

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy Required
