Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a pharmacist to join its hospital-based team. The role involves distribution, documentation, and compounding of drugs to meet patient and staff needs, with patient-focused clinical activities to ensure optimal medication therapy across age groups.

The ideal candidate will have a Doctoral/BS in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school and GA licensure; hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy Required

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff.
• Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups.
• Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel.
• Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice.
• Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

Required Hours:

10hr shifts with Wednesday through Tuesday rotation. Hours are 9pm-7:30am and 10pm-08:30am
