Madison Reed is seeking a Staff Mobile Engineer to own the mobile platform end-to-end, architecting our React Native app for iOS and Android and driving the technical strategy for mobile.

This AI-forward role requires delivering AI-powered experiences, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with product and leadership to provide a premium, native-feeling experience across our e-commerce, appointment, and membership businesses, while ensuring scalability and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep focus on React Native and Expo.
• Proven track record building, shipping, and maintaining complex data-heavy mobile apps in production at scale.
• Expo and mobile infrastructure expertise including EAS builds and native modules.
• Mastery of mobile state and performance, UI rendering, and cross-platform considerations.
• Full lifecycle ownership of CI/CD, crash rates, and production behavior.
• Experience with AI-forward development and using frontier tools to accelerate work while maintaining auditability.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to elevate engineers around you.
• High ownership mindset with bias toward action in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the mobile platform end-to-end: architect, build, and ship the React Native app across iOS and Android.
• Drive mobile technical strategy and adopt new technologies, tools, and patterns.
• Build AI-powered mobile experiences and integrate AI features into native interfaces.
• Leverage Expo ecosystem including EAS pipelines and OTA updates.
• Champion mobile UX and performance, focusing on frame rates, navigation, and accessibility.
• Maintain reliability: CI/CD, crash monitoring, analytics, and store release processes.
• Take ownership of large initiatives, refactor codebases, and ensure scalability.
• Mentor engineers, promote code quality, and share knowledge.
• Collaborate with product/leadership to align technical solutions with business goals.
