Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the core platform, APIs, data models, and integrations powering the business. You’ll lead the AI foundation, ensure scale and security, and drive architectural decisions across multiple teams.

You will collaborate with product and leadership, mentor engineers, and shape technical strategy. This role requires hands-on ownership of the end-to-end backend, including CI/CD and observability, in a fast-paced, AI-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in production backend software engineering.
• Proven track record shipping data-heavy, high-throughput platforms.
• Architect scalable APIs and data models.
• Secure by default with strong reliability focus.
• Own CI/CD, monitoring and incident response.
• Experience with frontier AI tooling and agent frameworks.
• Demonstrated technical leadership across teams.
• High ownership mindset in ambiguous, fast-paced env.
• Experience building AI/LLM infra for teams.

Responsibilities

• Own core platform end-to-end: services, APIs, data models.
• Define platform strategy and drive adoption of new tech.
• Build AI foundation for company workflows.
• Emphasize scale, reliability, security in all systems.
• Design backward-compatible APIs and developer UX.
• Maintain reliable CI/CD, observability, incident handling.
• Lead large initiatives and refactor complex codebases.
• Mentor engineers, enforce code quality and testing.
• Collaborate with product and leadership to align tech with business.
