Job summary

Spring Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to elevate our mobile experiences to best-in-class standards. The role is hybrid in New York City, with in-office presence 2–3 days weekly at our Madison Ave location.

Candidates should be based in the NYC area or relocate within 90 days, with occasional travel for team on-sites. You will own the team’s architecture, design AI-augmented workflows, establish safe AI guardrails, and drive cross-team collaboration to evolve our platform while

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience as a software engineer.
• 5+ years developing mobile apps on Flutter and React Native.
• Experience designing AI-augmented engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of team architecture and provide system-wide design guidance.
• Develop architectural patterns for efficiency, stability and extensibility.
• Create AI-augmented workflows (e.g., automated code generation, incident analysis).
• Establish guardrails for safe and responsible AI usage including security and compliance.
• Drive best practices and reduce technical debt to align with roadmaps.
• Collaborate with design to define a mobile design system and UX heuristics.
• Own mobile CI/CD, release processes, and SDK/framework upgrades.
• Mentor engineers and build cross-functional relationships across the org.
