Spring Health is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to evolve mobile experiences and build best-in-class iOS/Android experiences. This hybrid San Francisco role is based at 44 Montgomery Street, requiring in-office presence 2-3 days a week and relocation within 90 days if needed.

You will own mobile architecture, drive AI-enabled engineering workflows, and mentor engineers while partnering with design and product to define a scalable mobile design system.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience as a software engineer.
• 5+ years of experience developing mobile apps with Flutter and React Native.
• Uses AI to explore and validate architectural decisions and workflows.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of team architecture and provide system-wide design guidance.
• Produce efficient, scalable, and evolvable architecture with non-functional requirements in mind.
• Design AI-augmented workflows to multiply team output and improve developer efficiency.
• Establish guardrails for safe, responsible AI usage across the team (security, compliance, quality).
• Drive best practices, reduce tech debt, and prepare codebase for future roadmap needs.
• Influence large cross-team projects and enable execution without delays.
