Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking an experienced Staff Verification Engineer to verify and model mixed-signal automotive power management devices. You will collaborate with Design, Systems, Validation, and CAD teams to drive verification handoffs and sign-off of PMIC designs.

The role requires strong expertise in RNM/AMS, RTL/GLS, and SPICE-based tools, with a focus on automotive safety standards such as ISO 26262 and AEC-Q200, and leadership to mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in mixed-signal or analog circuit verification.
• Hands-on experience with RNM and AMS model integration.
• Proficiency in RTL and behavioral simulation tools such as Spectre and Xcelium.
• Solid understanding of GLS flows and debugging of analog blocks and digital RTL.
• Experience with automotive PMIC or power management IC design and verification.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect mixed-signal verification environments, including RNM and AMS model integration for PMIC designs
• Develop and implement verification plans for automotive PMIC products with ISO 26262 and AEC-Q200 alignment
• Lead debugging of analog blocks including switched-mode regulators and LDOs; manage mixed-signal interfaces
• Set up Gate-Level Simulation (GLS) flows and correlate with RTL results to resolve discrepancies
• Perform RTL and gate-level simulations covering timing, power, and functional correctness across PVT
• Collaborate with Design, Application Engineering, ATE, and Silicon Validation for handoffs
• Troubleshoot design issues using simulation and measurement techniques across analog/digital domains
• Drive improvement of verification tools, methodologies, and AI-based solutions
• Create verification documentation, test plans, and coverage metrics
