Job summary

AMD in Austin, TX is seeking a Staff Mechanical Technical Program Manager to lead mechanical system development for AI and hyperscale server platforms. You will own chassis, enclosure, cooling, and reliability from concept through production ramp, coordinating across mechanical, thermal, electrical, and manufacturing teams.

You will drive DFM/ DFA/ DFR practices, manage EVT/DVT/PVT cycles, and ensure cost‑effective, high‑performance solutions that meet aggressive schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mechanical system development across full lifecycle.
• Strong background in thermal design and server hardware.
• Proven ability to drive manufacturability and reliability in high‑volume environments.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical system program strategy and execution across the full product lifecycle.
• Lead chassis, enclosure design, cooling solutions, and structural integrity.
• Act as the mechanical system integrator across mechanical, thermal, electrical, and architecture.
• Drive DFM, DFA, DFR best practices with manufacturing and supplier teams.
• Lead EVT/DVT/PVT prototype cycles and validate mechanical readiness.
