Job summary

AMD in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a Sr. System Design Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design of AI servers, high-density rack systems, and liquid cooling solutions.

You will drive concept development through volume production, collaborating with thermal, structural, and electrical teams to deliver robust, manufacturable hardware. You will be responsible for independent design reviews, DFm/DFR implementation, and mentoring junior engineers, while shaping system architectures for HPC

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience leading mechanical design for server, HPC, or AI infrastructure products.
• Strong experience with Creo or similar CAD tools and tolerance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and architecture for server and HPC platforms, spanning design, validation, and release.
• Collaborate with thermal, structural, and electrical teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
• Champion DFM/DFR principles and drive design reviews to improve cost and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide cross-functional decisions on system-level design.
