Job summary

AMD seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer in the Data Center Platform Engineering group to drive the mechanical design for its next-generation server and GPU platforms. You will shape high-power systems with robust, manufacturable solutions across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering required; Master's preferred.
  • Experience designing server and GPU hardware for data centers.
  • Expert CAD skills and strong cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design for advanced server and GPU platforms.
  • Develop detailed designs and prototypes; validate via simulation and testing.
  • Collaborate with system architecture, board, validation, and manufacturing teams.
  • Represent AMD in technical reviews and customer engagements.
  • Provide direction on mechanical strategy and trade-offs.
  • Mentor engineers and drive cross-functional innovation.
