Axon 911 is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design of next-generation, rugged hardware from concept through mass production. You will collaborate with Industrial Design, Electrical, RF, Product, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience owning mechanical design from concept to high-volume production.
• Ability to work with RF, EE, ID, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design from concept through high-volume production for compact, ruggedized, wireless-connected hardware.
• Develop mechanical designs balancing size, weight, durability, sealing, thermal, RF performance, manufacturability and cost.
• Design components and assemblies using plastic injection molding, stamping, die casting, machining, adhesives, and bonded joints.
• Build and analyze prototypes and validate designs via FEA, tolerance analysis and physical testing.
• Design for tough field environments with IP66/IP68 ingress protection.
