Job summary

Arc Boat Company in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and integration of complex electromechanical systems for marine vessels. You will own the high‑voltage power distribution architecture for our e‑tug and set direction for the engineering team across multiple vessel programs.

Join a fast‑paced, on‑site team; bring 8+ years of experience in mechanical/electromechanical systems, CAD tools, and DFMs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
8+ years of experience owning complete mechanical or electromechanical systems and leading multidisciplinary projects; from design to production.
Strong knowledge of high‑voltage electrical systems and power distribution.

Responsibilities

Lead design and integration of electromechanical systems across vessel programs.
Own HV distribution architecture across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and manufacturing domains.
Direct electromechanical packaging for HV cabinets and distribution systems.
Set methods and standards for busbar design, thermal sizing, and system analysis.
Drive requirements, identify blockers, and make key design decisions.
Mentor engineers through design reviews and guidance.
Lead engagement with suppliers, shipyards, and operators.
Lead sea trials and field validation to verify performance.
