Arc is electrifying the marine industry from its Los Angeles headquarters. We are seeking a leader to own all physical engineering on our consumer vessels, overseeing mechanical, electrical, and test teams. You will move fast, own initiatives, and drive high-impact decisions.

This full-time, on-site role focuses on building an R&D powerhouse, setting long-term design direction, and collaborating with sales, production, and design to deliver market-ready products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fundamentals.
• Business sense to meet company objectives beyond engineering.
• Clear written and verbal communication; motivate cross-functionally.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to grow high-performing groups.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong R&D function across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and test teams to ensure designs are performant and meet objectives.
• Streamline processes to create an R&D powerhouse that can rapidly turn around new products.
• Collaborate with sales, service, production, product, and industrial design to advance consumer engineering offerings.
• Set the long-term vision for Arc's small vessel design engineering team and guide tough decisions for powertrain platforms.
• Lead the core low/high voltage powertrain platform and compute for consumer vessels, with crossover to commercial applications.
• Motivate the team to execute under tight timelines while preventing burnout.
