Job summary

Arc Boats Co. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the design and integration of complex electromechanical powertrain systems across the vehicle lifecycle.

You will work across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and manufacturing domains, driving requirements, CAD design, prototyping, analysis, validation, and production support. The role is full-time and on-site at our Los Angeles headquarters, reporting to the Powertrain Hardware Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years owning complete mechanical/electromechanical systems from design to production.
• Functional knowledge of electrical systems including high-voltage battery systems and power electronics.
• Strong fundamentals in structural and thermal engineering.
• Experience with CAD software (NX, CATIA or SolidWorks).
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and FEA tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and integration of electromechanical systems across the vehicle lifecycle.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and manufacturing domains.
• Define requirements, specifications, CAD design, prototyping, analysis, validation, and production support.
• Design for manufacturability, serviceability, reliability under real-world conditions.
• Build, test, troubleshoot, and iterate hardware in fast development environments.
• Collaborate with suppliers, shipyards, manufacturing teams, and vessel operators.
