Job summary

Arc Boats Co. in Los Angeles is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Hardware Engineer to design and release hardware for the entire boat platform.

You will own hardware from specification through prototyping, validation, and high-volume manufacturing, including assembly structure, mass, cost and schedule. You will lead prototyping through on-water testing and drive fixes into production, coordinating with battery, powertrain, electrical, and controls teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of industry experience (internships count).
• Proficiency in CAD and PLM systems.
• Hands-on support with fabrication and assembly.
• Ability to defend design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Designing and releasing hardware across the full boat, including hull, deck, and marine systems.
• Owning hardware from specification through design, prototyping, validation and manufacturing.
• Leading prototyping through on-water testing and root-cause analysis.
• Integrating with battery, powertrain, electrical, and controls teams.
• Partnering with industrial design, suppliers, and manufacturing on DFM and next-gen products.
