Job summary

1Password is seeking a Staff Engineer for Device Infrastructure Services to lead the transformation from legacy device management to DevOps and AI-enabled operations. You will build scalable systems, shape the tooling landscape used across the company, and mentor engineers while raising the team’s ceiling.

You’ll own the 12-month roadmap, drive automation, and partner across IT, Security, and product to deploy enterprise-grade solutions for ~2,000 endpoints and beyond.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT and enterprise endpoint management experience, including 2+ years at a senior or staff IC level.
• Broad knowledge of enterprise endpoint management and OS-level experience.
• Practical experience using AI tools to enable IT operations.
• Proven ability to define and drive technical roadmaps.
• Strong scripting and IaC ability (Bash, Python, and Terraform).
• Deep working knowledge of enterprise security fundamentals as they apply to endpoints.
• Lead through change, collaborate effectively, and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of Device Infrastructure Services for ~2,000 endpoints.
• Drive the DevOps operating model for the fleet with config-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead adoption of responsible AI across the device team with guardrails.
• Act as final escalation point for high-severity endpoint incidents.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, and product teams on custom solutions.
• Assess and pilot new tooling and drive build-vs-buy decisions.
• Partner with product teams to pilot and stress-test our product against internal fleet.
