Job summary

EY in the United States seeks a Staff Internet Ingress & Edge Engineer to support enterprise application delivery and ingress operations across AWS, AVI, Azure, DNS, and TLS. You will help monitor, onboard apps, perform configuration changes, and follow established runbooks in a hands-on operational role.

The role emphasizes automation, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, with a defined development path and a flexible hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ years in networking, cloud operations, load balancing, app delivery, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, routing, high-availability fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting production infrastructure via documented processes.
• Ability to follow change controls, runbooks and documentation standards.
• Strong learning agility, communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ingress and edge platform health, alerts, capacity and performance.
• Triage connectivity, load balancing, DNS, certificates, routing, traffic delivery issues.
• Follow runbooks, collect evidence, validate health, escalate as needed.
• Participate in incident response, maintenance, and on-call support.
• Maintain accurate ticket updates, notes, and operational records.
• Support AWS ALB/NLB, AVI, Azure ingress services, and related components.
• Assist with lifecycle activities, upgrades, and configuration reviews.
• Coordinate remediation with senior engineers.
