Samsung Semiconductor in San Jose seeks a Staff HSIO Digital & Mixed Signal Design Engineer to join the Location Group focused on next‑generation HSIO design for AI production platforms. You will contribute to end-to-end digital design for die‑to‑die interfaces and collaborate with system and analog teams.

The role emphasizes strong experience in digital/IP design, HSIO protocols, and performance optimization, with onsite work at our San Jose headquarters.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience or MS with 8+ years or PhD with 5+ years.
• Hands-on experience with HSIO PHY IP (e.g., UCIe, PCIe) and high-speed interfaces.
• Strong understanding of SI/PI modeling for High-Speed I/O designs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement HSIO IP for die-to-die interfaces.
• Collaborate with system and analog teams to optimize digital-on-top flows.
• Verify high-speed interconnect protocols and perform SI/PI modeling.
