Zscaler is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape the service platform and orchestration layer for its Zero Trust Exchange. You will lead the transition to a robust management plane at scale, building deterministic provisioning and lifecycle tooling for a 100k+ fleet.

You will design and implement platform APIs, apply AI/ML signals, and embed self-healing capabilities. This role requires Go expertise, distributed systems mastery, and ownership mindset. Hybrid work in the Bay Area is offered.

Competenze

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging AI-driven solutions.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field with 5+ years of experience in hyperscale systems.
• Mastery of backend systems languages with a strong preference for Go, or ability to rapidly adopt Go.
• Strong experience designing and operating complex distributed systems.
• Proven track record of developing Platform APIs (REST/gRPC) with idempotency and safe rollout patterns.
• U.S. citizenship due to the nature of the customers assigned to this role.

Mansioni

• Lead hands-on development and migration to a workflow-as-code platform (Temporal) with replay-safe workflows.
• Move the org toward a single, globally distributed management plane for fleet operations.
• Design and implement services using LLMs/ML for intelligent signal correlation and automated triage.
• Develop framework-level services and APIs with reliability hooks integrated in code.
• Build telemetry (metrics, traces, events) for full explainability and auditability of fleet actions.
