Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Fullstack Engineer to join the AppCore Usage squad in a remote-first role. You will design, build and operate backend services in Go with Node.js and TypeScript/React components, while maintaining billing and usage workflows and cloud marketplace integrations.

You will mentor peers and contribute across the stack, collaborating with product and infrastructure teams. You will work in a distributed, remote team across time zones, with an emphasis on reliability,

Qualifications

• Substantial experience designing, delivering and operating production backend systems, with the depth and judgment to lead complex work hands-on.
• Strong experience building and operating production backend systems in Go, with a track record across Go/Node.js/TypeScript stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate backend services and APIs supporting billing, usage, and marketplace workflows.
• Build and maintain backend services primarily in Go, with Node.js and TypeScript/React components for complete features.
• Improve correctness and reliability of billing and usage workflows, including validation and error handling.
• Identify recurring tasks and replace them with automation and clear operational workflows.
• Maintain and evolve infrastructure including Kubernetes workloads and deployment configurations.
• Use infrastructure as code and automated pipelines to enable repeatable changes.
• Plan deployments, database changes, and migrations with validation and recovery plans.
• Collaborate with product management, Support, DealOps, GTM, and adjacent AppCore squads.
• Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and mentoring; participate in on-call rotation after onboarding.
