Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Fullstack Engineer for the AppCore Usage squad. You will design, build and operate backend services with strong Go expertise, while contributing to frontend work in TypeScript/React.

You will improve billing workflows, automate tasks, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines. You will lead complex work, collaborate across teams, and participate in on-call rotation after onboarding, helping ensure reliable, scalable billing and usage

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, delivering and operating production backend systems.
• Experience with Go as primary backend language.
• Frontend experience with TypeScript/React encouraged.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and data consistency.
• Experience with relational databases and migrations.
• Experience deploying containerized services in Kubernetes.
• Ability to work across the stack and lead complex work.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate backend services and APIs for billing, rates, usage.
• Build and maintain backend in Go; contribute to TypeScript/React.
• Improve correctness and reliability of workflows.
• Automate recurring manual tasks with maintainable automation.
• Maintain infrastructure including Kubernetes and cloud resources.
• Use IaC and pipelines for repeatable, safe changes across environments.
• Investigate production issues across app, DB, and infra.
• Plan deployments and migrations with validation and recovery plans.
• Build integrations with cloud marketplaces and external systems.
• Deliver projects from requirements to production support.
• Share leadership via design reviews and mentoring.
• Participate in on-call rotation after onboarding.
