Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer to lead frontend architecture for its self-service platform supporting pharmacy operations and customer orders. You will guide FE direction, collaborate with product, design, and backend teams, and ensure scalable, secure delivery.

The role emphasizes AI-informed software development, code quality, and mentorship across multiple FE squads. You will mentor engineers, champion best practices, and help shape a roadmap for Pharmacy & Fulfillment

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with frontend leadership and impact.
• Experience building scalable web applications in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience with CI/CD, monitoring tools, and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend architecture for scalable, maintainable, and performant solutions.
• Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to deliver aligned outcomes.
• Establish and promote coding standards, patterns, and best practices across the Front End team.
• Drive responsible adoption of AI in development while ensuring patient safety and quality.
• Mentor Front End engineers through pairing, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Reduce technical debt and improve workflow efficiency through tooling and processes.
• Define a multi-quarter FE architecture roadmap for Pharmacy & Fulfillment and translate into work for others.
