Job summary

Opiniion is seeking a Staff Engineer, Frontend to lead architecture and hands-on development across a fast-growing SaaS platform. You will shape frontend patterns, drive performance and accessibility, and mentor engineers as the team scales with AI-powered capabilities.

You will collaborate with the Staff Software Architect and cross-functional teams to deliver polished, fast, and reliable user experiences, while balancing current product needs with the next-generation platform roadmap.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of frontend software development experience at staff/principal level.
• Expertise in React and TypeScript in production SaaS.
• Experience shipping performant, accessible web experiences at scale.
• Experience mentoring engineers and guiding technical direction.
• Experience introducing or supporting AI/LLM-powered product experiences in production.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ownership mindset.
• Experience with frontend testing strategies (unit/integration/e2e).

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day frontend architecture governance with guidance from the Staff Software Architect.
• Write production-grade frontend code as an individual contributor.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design feedback.
• Define and reinforce frontend standards for architecture, state management, performance, testing, accessibility, maintainability.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering to turn requirements into polished UX.
• Balance current platform work with next-gen frontend development and AI capabilities.
• Identify and resolve frontend performance, accessibility, and reliability issues.
• Contribute to design reviews and technical planning to align with architecture and business goals.
• Shape practices for deployment, observability, and release quality for frontend systems.
• Use AI tools to improve speed and quality while maintaining UX standards.
