Job summary

Amplitude is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the UI Foundation to lead frontend platform architecture, performance, and tooling at a high level of impact. You will shape engineering workflows, mentor senior engineers, and partner with product/design to scale the frontend of our AI-first analytics platform.

You will drive architectural decisions, push performance improvements, and build AI-driven automation to streamline engineering workflows across teams.

Qualifications

• Real world software engineering experience at Staff level or equivalent scope/impact.
• Deep expertise in modern frontend architecture (React or similar).
• Strong infra/systems instincts, build tooling, CI/CD, and dev environments.

Responsibilities

• Own frontend architecture foundations and module boundaries.
• Improve frontend performance (bundle size, load time, runtime).
• Build and maintain build systems, local dev environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
