Job summary

Meta is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape JavaScript tooling and developer infrastructure across Meta's products. You will design JS compiler enhancements, build tooling like linters and test runners, and integrate AI-powered capabilities into developer workflows to improve speed and quality at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of frontend software engineering experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience leading large frontend initiatives with cross-team coordination.
• Ability to design scalable, performant UI systems for large user bases.
• Experience using data, experiments, and telemetry to guide decisions.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions in writing to diverse audiences.
• Experience mentoring engineers in architecture and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of compiler passes and JavaScript transformations.
• Build and enhance tooling infrastructure: linters, test runners, and analysis tools.
• Integrate AI capabilities into developer workflows for automated fixes.
