Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent.
• 8+ years of frontend software engineering with JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience leading frontend initiatives with cross-team coordination.
• Experience building scalable, high-performance UI for large user bases.
• Experience using data/telemetry to guide frontend decisions.
• Strong written communication of technical decisions and trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement JS compiler passes and JavaScript transformations.
• Build and enhance developer tooling such as linters and test runners.
• Integrate AI-powered capabilities into developer workflows.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of major JS tooling initiatives.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in build systems and tooling.
• Evolve best practices for JavaScript tooling, AST manipulation, and compilation strategies.
• Mentor engineers on compiler design and tooling architecture.
• Partner with stakeholders to drive technical decisions and roadmaps for developer tools.
• Address technical debt and migrations to modern standards.
